脆性断裂中的热噪声与分支阈值

摘要
许多研究已证实脆性材料中的裂纹在裂纹速度超过某一阈值速度时会发生分支，但该阈值的大小尚不清楚。几乎所有理论计算都将阈值高估了两倍或更多。我们表明热噪声可使阈值大幅降低，并提议该效应可解释此差异。
