摘要
一组同态 的 equaliser（等化子）在 含有单射时秩至多为二，否则非有限生成。这证明了秩为二的自由群的 Stallings' Equaliser Conjecture（等化子猜想）的一种强形式。对于同态对 ，当像在 中为非活跃子群或收缩时，也获得了相应结果。
