在本文中，我们首先将计算通过给定割边集的图的有向嵌入的面数的定理 [S. Stahl, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 259 (1980), 129--145] 推广到所有曲面。然后我们将 Stahl 关于图顶点合并的平均亏格的界 [S. Stahl, Discrete Math. 142 (1995), 235--245] 推广到带号图。
