摘要
长度为72的极长码的存在性是一个长期未解决的公开问题。设C是一个假设存在的长度为72的极长码，并假设C有一个6阶自同构g。我们证明，作为F_2<g>-模，C是两个模的直和，其中一个容易确定，另一个具有非常受限的结构。我们利用这一事实进行穷举搜索，未找到任何码。这证明了长度为72的极长码的自同构群不包含6阶元素。
