循环 operad 的模包络是包含它的最小模 operad。由一个带边黎曼曲面的模空间构造出一个模 operad；该模 operad 被证明是 A-infinity 循环 operad 的模包络。这给出了 Harer-Mumford-Thurston-Penner-Kontsevich 结果的新的证明：由 ribbon 图构造的细胞复形同伦等价于曲线模空间。
