Marden 驯顺猜想预测，每个具有有限生成基本群的双曲三维流形都同胚于一个紧致三维流形的内部。该猜想最近由 Agol 和 Calegari-Gabai 证明。我们将综述该猜想的研究历史，并讨论其众多应用。
