摘要
拉塞雷纳数据科学学校是一个多学科项目，迄今已举办六届，形式恒定：在10–14天内，约30名学生（美国15名、智利15名、加勒比国家1–3名）与约9名教员齐聚智利拉塞雷纳，完成强调天文学与生物科学应用的数据科学密集项目。学生参加理论与动手环节，并自早期起便在多学科小组中与教员“导师”合作解决真实数据科学问题。学校的项目委员会与本地组委会已制定学生遴选指南以最大化多样性。该项目非常成功，高超额订阅率（5–8倍）及大量正面证言（不仅来自校友，也来自保持联系的现任与前任教员）即为证明。
