摘要

我们证明了曲面 $\Sigma$ 的映射类群 $Mod(\Sigma)$ 的各种子群至少存在指数级畸变。示例包括 Torelli 群（回答了 Hamenstadt 的一个问题）、“点推送”(point-pushing) 子群、曲面辫子子群以及拉格朗日子群。我们的技术包括一种通过表示论计算畸变下界的方法，以及将 Johnson 理论推广到 $H_1(\Sigma;\mathbb{Z})$ 的任意子群。
