使用 Landau-Lifshitz 消散流体力学来研究线性化 Kolmogorov 流的统计性质。这种流的相对简单性允许对从近平衡态到第一个对流不稳定性阈值附近的涨落谱进行详细分析。结果表明，在长时间极限下，流表现为不可压缩流体， regardless of Reynolds 数的值。这一点在短时间行为中不成立，在短时间行为中，除非接近不稳定性阈值，否则不可压缩假设通常会导致静态关联函数的错误形式。理论预测得到了完整非线性消散流体方程数值模拟的确认。
