给定一个结 K,我们可以通过在 K 的基本群中添入一个与对应经线相交换的、经线的 n 次单位根来构造群 G_n(K)。这些"广义结群"由 Wada 和 Kelly 独立引入,并以基本群作为其子群。方结 SK 与祖母结 GK 是一对著名的不同结,它们具有同构的基本群。我们证明,对所有 n>1,G_n(SK) 与 G_n(GK) 不同构。这证实了 Lin 与 Nelson 的一个猜想,并表明 G_n(K)(n>1) 的同构类型比基本群的同构类型携带了关于 K 的更多信息。David Savitt 的附录包含证明所需的、关于三叶结群在 PSL(2,p) 中表示的一些结果。
