本文回顾了最近观察到的'弱非结合'代数A（其结合子(A,A^2,A)为零）与KP层次方程（因变量位于A的中间核A'中）之间的关系。对于任何这样的代数，存在一个非结合的ODE层次，其解决定了KP层次方程的解。在特殊情况下，当A'为矩阵代数时，这变成一个易于求解的矩阵Riccati层次。矩阵解随后导致标量KP层次方程的解。我们讨论了以这种方式获得的一些解类。
