从独立性到扩展性及其逆过程

摘要
我们考虑以下基本问题：(1) 构造空间-时间权衡接近Siegel下界的-独立哈希函数。(2) 构造规模小且允许快速计算邻居函数的非平衡扩展图的表示。不难表明这两个问题紧密关联，即其中一个的良好解会导致另一个的良好解。在本文中，我们利用这一关联提出了-独立哈希函数（以及因此表示小巧的扩展图）的高效递归构造。先前最有效的构造（Thorup, FOCS 2013）所需时间在Siegel下界下为准多项式，而我们的时间界仅距下界一个对数因子。
