欧几里得准备计划:XXII. 基于机器学习的从模拟测光中选宁静星系

摘要

欧几里得空间望远镜将在光学和近红外波段提供深场成像,以及无缝近红外光谱,覆盖约 15,000 平方度的天区。预计欧几里得将探测到约 120 亿个天体源,从而促进宇宙学、星系演化及诸多其他课题的新见解。为最优地利用这一预期中的极大数据集,有必要开发适当的方法与软件。本文提出一种基于机器学习的新方法,利用宽波段欧几里得 I_E、Y_E、J_E、H_E 测光,结合其他巡天的多波段测光来选宁静星系。ARIADE 流水线使用元学习将决策树集成、最近邻和深度学习方法融合为单一分类器,其精度显著高于任一单独学习方法。该流水线具有“稀疏感知”能力,因此缺失的测光值仍可为分类提供信息。我们的流水线借助“伪标注”半监督方法,为选出的宁静星系推导测光红移。在应用离群值滤波器后,相对于 COSMOS2015 测光红移,我们的流水线实现了约 < 0.03 的归一化平均绝对偏差和约 < 0.02 的灾难性离群值比例。我们将分类流水线应用于对应于三种主要情景的模拟星系测光星表:(i) 具有辅助 ugriz、WISE 和射电数据的欧几里得深场巡天;(ii) 具有辅助 ugriz、WISE 和射电数据的欧几里得宽场巡天;(iii) 仅欧几里得宽场巡天。除欧几里得 I_E-Y_E、J_E-H_E 和 u-I_E、I_E-J_E 颜色-颜色方法外,我们的分类流水线优于 UVJ 选择,完备性和 F1 分数提升高达 2 倍。(删节)
