Euclid准备工作:使用CatBoost链式回归器进行银河物理性质估计

Euclid将在可见光和近红外波段 imaging 大约14000平方度的外银河天空,提供前所未有的规模和丰富性的数据集,将促进对银河演化进行多种研究。在绝大多数情况下,主要信息来源将来自宽带图像及其数据产品。因此,有迫切需要识别或开发可扩展且可靠的方法,使用Euclid的宽带光度学数据(可选包括地面光学数据)来估计银河的红移和物理性质。为此,我们提出了一种新方法,用于估计银河的红移、恒星质量、星形成率、比特星形成率、E(B-V)以及年龄,方法利用模拟的Euclid和地面光度学数据。我们性质估计管道的主要新颖之处在于其使用CatBoost实现的梯度提升树,结合链式回归和对训练数据的智能、自动优化。该管道还包括一种计算效率高的方法,用于估计预测不确定性;在缺乏真实标签的情况下,还能为模型性能指标(最高达z~2)提供准确的预测。我们将我们的管道应用于多个由模拟Euclid宽带光度学数据和模拟地面ugriz光度学数据组成的数据集,以评估我们方法在估计Euclid宽广调查中检测到的银河红移和物理性质方面的性能。我们的光度学红移和物理性质估计质量总体上具有高度竞争力,验证了我们建模方法的有效性。我们发现,地面光学光度学数据的加入显著提高了性质估计的质量,凸显了将Euclid数据与其他地面光学数据相结合的重要性。
