摘要
通过沿长度方向连接两根弹性杆，可以构建一大类可展开细丝结构。所得结构具有有趣的形状，可通过调节每根杆的材料属性来稳定。为对此结构建模并研究其稳定性，我们证明了描述无载荷状态的平衡方程可由变分原理导出。随后我们使用一种新颖的几何方法研究所得平衡的稳定性。作为示例，我们将该理论应用于确定 Bristol 梯子的所有可能平衡的稳定性。
