摘要
对任意正整数，Baker有一个问题：当取遍模的非平凡特征时，数在上是否线性无关。该问题对素数已获肯定回答，但对任意模数仍未知。在这篇综述性笔记中，我们概述该问题的起源、历史与现状。我们也阐述进入此主题的数学思想，并阐明阻碍我们回答任意模数下该问题的障碍。我们还描述了该问题的若干推广与延伸。
