摘要
我们构造了与群 相关联的12维例外场论。要求局域对称代数闭合会导致一个必须对全部场施加的约束，即所谓的截面条件（section condition）。该约束有两个不等价的解，一个给出11维超引力，另一个导向F理论。因此， 例外场论在单一的12维形式体系中同时包含了F理论与M理论。
