本文在 U. Krause 和 C. Zahlten 早期工作（处理循环群情形）等基础上，获得了适用于任意有限阿贝尔群一般情形的小交叉数的新上界。对于给定的有限阿贝尔群，该上界似乎仅依赖于秩以及指数不同素因子的个数。本文的主要定理除其他推论外，还允许我们证明关于有限阿贝尔群交叉数和小交叉数的一个经典猜想在至少两个不同方向上渐近成立。
