相关论文: Pathology of submeasures and $F_\sigma$ ideals
We present a few results about (non)pathology of submeasures and ideals.
Answering a question of Hru\v{s}\'ak, we show that every analytic tall ideal on $\omega$ contains an $F_\sigma$ tall ideal. We also give an example of an $F_\sigma$ tall ideal without a Borel selector.
Let ${\bf x}=(x_n)_n$ be a sequence in a Banach space. A set $A\subseteq \mathbb{N}$ is perfectly bounded, if there is $M$ such that $\|\sum_{n\in F}x_n\|\leq M$ for every finite $F\subseteq A$. The collection $B({\bf x})$ of all perfectly…
In recent works by L. Drewnowski and I. Labuda and J. Mart\'inez et al., non-pathological analytic \( P \)-ideals and non-pathological \( F_\sigma \)-ideals have been characterized and studied in terms of their representations by a sequence…
The concept of $\mathcal S$-topological $\sigma$-ideal in measurable space $(X, \mathcal S)$ was introduced by Hejduk and using a theorem of Wagner on convergence of measurable functions characterized $\mathcal S$-topological…
Answering in negative a question of M. Hru\v{s}\'ak, we construct a Borel ideal not extendable to any $F_\sigma$ ideal and such that it is not Kat\v{e}tov above the ideal $\mathrm{conv}$.
Arbitrary representations of a commutative unital ($\ast$-) $\mathbb{F}$-algebra $A$ as a subalgeba of $\mathbb{F}^X$ are considered, where $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{C}$ or $\mathbb{R}$ and $X\neq\emptyset$. The Gelfand spectrum of $A$ is…
If I is a suitably definable sigma-ideal on the real line and the factor algebra of Borel sets modulo I is weakly distributive then the algebra carries a Maharam submeasure.
In this article, we introduce and explore the notion of topological amenability in the broad setting of (locally compact) semihypergroups. We acquire several stationary, ergodic and Banach algebraic characterizations of the same in terms of…
We study Egorov ideals, that is ideals on $\omega$ for which the Egorov's theorem for ideal versions of pointwise and uniform convergences holds. We show that a non-pathological $\bf{\Sigma^0_2}$ ideal is Egorov if and only if it is…
We show that for a $\sigma $-ideal $\ci$ with a Steinhaus property defined on Banach space, if two non-homeomorphic Banach with the same cardinality of the Hamel basis then there is a $\ci$ nonmeasurable subset as image by any isomorphism…
We introduce a method that allows to turn topological questions about Hindman spaces into purely combinatorial questions about the Kat\v{e}tov order of ideals on $\mathbb{N}$. We also provide two applications of the method. (1) We…
We introduce the Solecki submeasure $\sigma(A)=\inf_F\sup_{x,y\in G}|F\cap xAy|/|F|$ and its left and right modifications on a group $G$, and study the interplay between the Solecki submeasure and the Haar measure on compact topological…
The structure of transformation semigroups on a finite set is analyzed by introducing a hierarchy of functions mapping subsets to subsets. The resulting hierarchy of semigroups has a corresponding hierarchy of minimal ideals, or kernels.…
Inspired by Bartoszy\'nski's work on small sets, we introduce a new ideal defined by interval partitions on natural numbers and summable sequences of positive reals. Similarly, we present another ideal that relies on Bartoszy\'nski's and…
Let $X$ be a zero-dimensional compact metrizable space endowed with a strictly positive continuous Borel $\sigma$-additive measure $\mu$ which is good in the sense that for any clopen subsets $U,V\subset X$ with $\mu(U)<\mu(V)$ there is a…
We investigate the possibility of extension of $F_\sigma$-measurable and Baire-one maps from subspaces of topological spaces when these maps take values in spaces which covers by a sequence of metrizable spaces with special properties
A {\it weak selection} on $\mathbb{R}$ is a function $f: [\mathbb{R}]^2 \to \mathbb{R}$ such that $f(\{x,y\}) \in \{x,y\}$ for each $\{x,y\} \in [\mathbb{R}]^2$. In this article, we continue with the study (which was initiated in \cite{ag})…
In this paper we shall consider a couple of properties of $\sigma$-ideals and study relations between them. Namely we will prove that $\mathfrak{c}$-cc $\sigma$-ideals are tall and that the Weaker Smital Property implies that every Borel…
We study and classify topologically invariant $\sigma$-ideals with a Borel base on the Hilbert cube and evaluate their cardinal characteristics. One of the results of this paper solves (positively) a known problem whether the minimal…
