VERITAS对LS 5039与HESS J1825-137的探测

摘要

通过8小时观测,VERITAS确认探测到两个甚高能伽马射线源。伽马射线双星LS 5039以8.8σ8.8\sigma的统计显著性被探测到。在1 TeV以上测得的流量在近下合时为(2.5±0.4)×1012cm2s1(2.5 \pm 0.4) \times 10^{-12} \rm \, cm^{-2} \, s^{-1},在近上合时为(7.8±2.8)×1013cm2s1(7.8 \pm 2.8) \times 10^{-13} \rm \, cm^{-2} \, s^{-1}。脉冲星风星云HESS J1825-137以6.7σ6.7\sigma的统计显著性被探测到,其在1 TeV以上测得流量为(3.9±0.8)×1012cm2s1(3.9 \pm 0.8) \times 10^{-12} \rm \, cm^{-2} \, s^{-1}
