VERITAS 与 Fermi-LAT 对新 HAWC 源的观测

摘要

HAWC(高海拔水切伦科夫)合作组近期发布了其 2HWC 星表,基于 507 天观测列出了 39 个甚高能(VHE;>100~GeV)伽马射线源。其中,有 19 个源与此前已知的 TeV 源无关联。我们利用 VERITAS 与 Fermi-LAT 研究了其中 14 个无已知对应体的源。VERITAS 在 DA 495 区域(一个与 2HWC J1953+294 重合的脉冲星风星云)的 1~TeV–30~TeV 能段探测到微弱伽马射线发射,证实了 HAWC 对该源的发现。在我们针对能量高于 10 GeV 的 Fermi-LAT 数据分析中,未找到所选 14 个新 HAWC 源的任一对应体。在搜寻过程中,我们探测到与已知 TeV 脉冲星风星云 SNR G54.1+0.3(VER J1930+188)及一个 2HWC 源 2HWC J1930+188 重合的 GeV 伽马射线发射。2HWC 星表中孤立稳态源的流量通常与成像大气切伦科夫望远镜所测结果总体吻合良好。然而,VERITAS 对 SNR G54.1+0.3、DA 495 与 TeV J2032+4130 的流量低于 HAWC 测量值,且 VERITAS 未探测到若干新 HAWC 源。这很可能源于能谱形状变化、源延展性或源区弥漫发射的影响。
