本文记录了一个奇特的数值恒等式：与范德蒙分圆五次方程相关的数字1318，可以两种不同方式分解为来自集合{ $6, 16, 26, 41$ }中数对乘积之和，即 $1318 = 6\cdot41 + 16\cdot26 + 16\cdot41 = 6\cdot16 + 6\cdot26 + 26\cdot41$ 。基于某些阿贝尔和广义阿贝尔方程族根式解的存在性，我们推测存在无穷多个类似的分解，涉及任意大的数集。
