摘要

本文引入一类线性规划例子，其导致单纯形法无限循环，并且是展示该行为的最简单的可能例子。该类例子的结构在两次迭代后重复。证明了对于最负既约成本列选择准则和最大边列选择准则均会发生循环。此外，证明了 Gill 等人的 EXPAND 防循环过程不能保证防止循环。
