宇宙的形态是什么？它是弯曲的还是平坦的，有限的还是无限的？空间是否“包裹”起来以产生遥远宇宙源的幽灵图像？我们回顾了镶嵌如何构建对宇宙学有用的多重连通三维黎曼空间。我们特别讨论了有限、正曲率十二面体空间的提议，以解释 2003-2006 年 WMAP 数据发布所揭示的宇宙微波背景辐射的一些令人困惑的特征。
