本文是对 Barbara Fredrickson 对我们文章 arXiv:1307.7006 的评论 [American Psychologist 68, 814-822 (2013)] 的回应。我们批判性地分析了 Fredrickson (2013) 关于积极性比率和“繁荣”的新主张，并试图理清一些概念上的混淆；我们还解决了所谓的非线性效应的经验证据问题。我们得出结论，没有任何证据表明存在任何“临界点”，且关于任何形式非线性的存在仅有微弱的证据。我们最初的担忧，即在心理学及相关学科中应用高级数学技术可能并不总是合适的，依然未减。
