两类Richardson模型描述上两种竞争感染的增长。在时刻0，两个不相交有限集分别被类型1和类型2感染。然后，一个未感染位点以正比于类型1（2）感染的最近邻数量的速率变成类型1（2）感染，一旦感染便永远保持如此。本文的主要结果粗略地说，初始集和的选择对于决定两种感染类型相互无界增长事件是否具有正概率无关紧要。
