本文研究文献 [A. Pulvirenti and G. Toscani. J. Statist. Phys., 114(5-6):1453--1480, 2004] 中引入的非弹性 Kac 模型在平衡分布函数为具有无穷方差的厚尾 Lévy 型分布时的掠射碰撞极限。我们证明，处于该平衡分布适当吸引域中的解收敛到一个带有分数阶扩散算子的 Fokker-Planck 方程的解。
