本文提出了一种在最大局域化 Wannier 函数框架 [Marzari and Vanderbilt, Phys. Rev. B \textbf{56}, 12847 (1997); Souza, Marzari, and Vanderbilt, \textit{ibid.} \textbf{65}, 035109 (2001)] 下构建对称性适配 Wannier 函数的方法。在该方案中，Wannier 函数展宽泛函的最小化是在由指定 Wannier 函数集及其构建所用的 Bloch 函数的对称性导出的约束下进行的，因此所得解不一定是展宽泛函的全局最小值。作为对该方法的测试，展示了 GaAs 和 Cu 的原子中心 Wannier 函数的结果。
