我们研究了一条通向自组织临界性的建议路径。最初，这条路径被设计用于在表现出吸收态相变的系统中“产生临界性”，但对机制的更仔细检验表明，它可用于任何连续相变。我们使用伊辛模型以及曼纳模型来演示有限尺寸标度指数如何依赖于驱动和耗散速率随系统尺寸的调节。我们的发现将该机制的解释力限制在非普适临界行为上。
