摘要

Let p be a prime number. Let G be a finite p-group and χIrr(G)\chi \in Irr(G). Denote by χˉIrr(G)\bar{\chi} \in Irr(G) the complex conjugate of χ\chi. Assume that χ(1)=pn\chi(1)=p^n. We show that the number of distinct irreducible constituents of the product χχˉ\chi\bar{\chi} is at least 2n(p1)+12n(p-1)+1.
