南极BICEP3 CMB偏振计的偏振定标

摘要
BICEP3 CMB偏振计是一台位于南极的小口径折射望远镜,专门设计用于搜寻宇宙微波背景(CMB)中暴胀引力波的可能特征。实验通过对与过渡边传感器(TES)探测器耦合的共置、正交偏振天线的信号作差来测量天空偏振。我们基于2018年1月所取定标数据,给出了BICEP3约800个正常工作偏振敏感探测器对中几乎所有对的绝对偏振响应角与偏振效率的精确测量。利用旋转偏振源(RPS),我们映射了每个探测器在源旋转完整360度及多个望远镜视轴旋转下的偏振响应,并由此估计每对的偏振性质。在未来的工作中,这些结果将用于约束宇宙双折射等奇异物理模型所预言的信号。
