我们通过模型论，在所有特征下，将函数域Mordell-Lang猜想归约到函数域Manin-Mumford猜想，同时避免使用（广义）Zariski结构的二分定理。在这个第二版中，正特征下的量词消去结果从简单阿贝尔簇扩展到所有阿贝尔簇，完成了正特征情形下的主要定理。在第三版中，对正特征下量词消去的证明进行了一些修正，并且论文进行了实质性重组。
