基于 MEG II 实验的 $\mu^+\to e^+\gamma$ 衰变新限值

摘要
本文报告了在瑞士 Paul Scherrer 所器械实验室中利用 MEG II 实验对衰变 的搜索结果。该搜索灵敏度为 ,较完整 MEG 数据集的灵敏度提高了 2.4 倍,数据采集周期约为 MEG 的四分之一,归功于新探测器的卓越性能。该结果与预期背景相符,给出 分支比上限为 (90% 置信水平)。将来自 2023-2024 年的数据将进一步提升上限。数据采集将在未来几年继续进行。
