PEN实验:π⁺→e⁺ν衰变分支比的精确测量

摘要

一项新的Bπe2B_{\pi e2}(即π+e+ν(γ)\pi^+ \to e^+\nu(\gamma)衰变分支比)测量正在保罗·谢勒研究所进行。当前Bπe2B_{\pi e2}的实验结果是可用的最精确的轻子普适性检验。然而,其精度仍落后于理论精度一个数量级以上。由于πe2\pi_{e2}衰变受到强烈的螺旋度压制,其分支比容易受到来自新物理的显著贡献,这使得该衰变成为一个特别适合的研究对象。
