MEG II 实验的设计

摘要

MEG 实验旨在以 10^-13 灵敏度水平搜寻 mu+->e+ gamma 衰变,于 2013 年完成取数。为了将实验的灵敏度范围提高一个数量级达到分支比 6 x 10^-14 的水平,已开展了涉及实验重大变更的完全升级,称为 MEG II。我们给出了升级的动机以及实验设计和预期探测器性能的详细概述。
