MEG(缪子到电子伽马)实验自2008年起在瑞士保罗·谢尔研究所(PSI)运行,利用世界上最强的连续μ+\mu^+束之一搜索衰变\meg。本文介绍了MEG的组成部分:正电子谱仪,包括薄靶、超导磁体、用于测量缪子衰变顶点和正电子动量的漂移室组、用于测量正电子时间的定时计数器,以及用于测量光子能量、位置和时间的液氙探测器。还详细介绍了触发系统、读出电子学和数据采集系统。本文最后描述了为时间和能量校准以及整个装置模拟而开发的设备和技术。
