Mrk 501 在 2009 年的多波段变率研究与新颖宽带 SED 建模

我们基于在 2009 年 3 月 15 日至 2009 年 8 月 1 日多仪器联合观测活动期间收集的数据集,对 BL Lac 天体 Mrk 501 进行了广泛研究,该数据集除其他仪器外还包括 MAGIC、VERITAS、Whipple 10-m、Fermi-LAT、RXTE、Swift、GASP-WEBT 和 VLBA。我们发现分数变率随能量增加,而在所获得的数据集中未发现流量变化的显著波段间相关性。甚高能(>100 GeV,VHE)伽马射线辐射的较高变率以及其与 X 射线辐射缺乏相关性表明,产生 VHE 伽马射线的最高能电子对 ~1 keV 辐射没有主导贡献。另一种可能是,除了来自同步自康普顿(SSC)情景的贡献外,还存在一个变化剧烈的组分贡献于 VHE 伽马射线辐射。遵循专门的网格扫描策略探测 SSC 模型参数空间,使得能够检验广泛范围的模型,并提供了对单个模型参数中模型-数据吻合简并性的研究。我们发现所探测的单区与双区 SSC 情景均存在某种简并,多个模型参数组合产生相似的模型-数据吻合度,且某些参数比其他参数约束更好。SSC 模型网格扫描显示,2009 年 5 月 22 日左右的耀发活动无法用单区 SSC 情景充分建模,而可用双独立区 SSC 情景恰当描述。观测到的电矢量偏振角旋转与 2009 年 5 月 1 日的伽马射线耀发重合,类似于先前报道的低频峰耀变体情况,从而表明具有不同喷流性质的耀变体的耀发机制存在许多相似性。
