背景:耀变体Markarian 421是北天最明亮的TeV伽马射线源之一。从2007年12月到2008年6月,单碟主大气伽马射线成像切伦科夫望远镜(MAGIC-I)在甚高能(VHE,E > 100 GeV)波段对其进行了密集观测。目的:我们旨在测量耀变体喷流在活跃态期间辐射区的物理参数。方法:我们利用MAGIC-I对源进行了VHE波段的密集监测,并收集了软X射线与光学-UV波段的补充数据;随后,在同步自康普顿(SSC)框架内,对由同时性多波段数据导出的谱能量分布(SED)进行了建模。结果:在整个期间,该源表现出强烈且持久的伽马射线活动,积分通量(E > 200 GeV)极少低于蟹状星云水平,最高可达该值的3.6倍。在不同爆发阶段获得了8组同时性光学-UV(KVA,Swift/UVOT)、软X射线(Swift/XRT)与MAGIC-I VHE数据。一旦将所获得的谱能量分布在单区SSC轻子模型框架内进行解释,这些数据就能约束喷流的物理参数。结论:研究的主要结果是,在均匀模型内需要高多普勒因子(40 <= delta <= 80)才能重现观测到的SED;但该模型无法解释观测到的短时标变化性,而可以论证的是,非均匀模型可能允许较不极端的多普勒因子、更强的磁场以及与小时或亚小时尺度变化性相容的更短电子冷却时间。
