研究TeV耀变体1ES 1959+650的宽带变异性

摘要

我们总结了TeV耀变体1ES 1959+650的宽带观测,包括由机器人望远镜Super-LOTIS和iTelescope进行的光学R波段观测、Swift UVOT的紫外观测、Swift X射线望远镜(XRT)的X射线观测、费米大面积望远镜(LAT)的高能伽马射线观测以及VERITAS在315 GeV以上的甚高能(VHE)伽马射线观测,所有观测均在2012年4月17日至2012年6月1日(MJD 56034和56079)之间进行。在简单的同步自康普顿(SSC)模型背景下,探讨了宽带谱能量分布的同期变异性。在SSC发射情景中,我们发现表示高态所需的参数与低态显著不同。受耀变体附近可能存在气体证据的启发,我们还研究了一种反射发射模型来描述观测到的变异性模式。该模型假设来自喷流的非热发射被附近的气体云反射,使得反射发射重新进入团块,并产生升高的伽马射线态,而同步辐射通量没有同时升高。这里应用的模型虽然不需要解释观测到的变异性模式,但代表了一种可能描述观测的情景。当应用于观测期间单个夜晚观测到的、为蟹状星云通量66%的升高VHE态时,反射发射情景不支持纯轻子非热发射机制。然而,反射发射模型确实预测了一个反射光子场,其能量足以通过能量在10到100 TeV之间的质子产生π介子,从而产生升高的伽马射线发射。
