VERITAS 对六个明亮硬谱 Fermi-LAT 耀变体的观测

我们报告了 VERITAS 对从费米大视场望远镜第一源表 (1FGL) 中选出的六个耀变体的甚高能 (VHE; E>100 GeV) 观测结果。考虑到河外背景光对伽马射线的吸收,我们将 1FGL 源的伽马射线辐射外推至 VHE 波段。这使得我们能够选出六个明亮的硬谱耀变体,它们是良好的 TeV 辐射候选体。我们尝试使用 Keck 望远镜对那些缺乏斯隆数字巡天 (SDSS) 光谱数据的目标进行光谱红移测量。在对本文所述的六个源进行观测期间,未检测到 VHE 辐射。我们给出了相应的 TeV 上限,以及同期的 Fermi 观测数据和非同时的 Swift UVOT 与 XRT 数据。我们组装并建模了这些耀变体的宽带光谱能量分布 (SEDs),采用的是单区同步自康普顿模型。为这六个耀变体构建的 SED 显示,其同步辐射峰值位于中间谱峰和高谱峰分类的边界处,其中四个耀变体的辐射区域由粒子主导。
