MAGIC 望远镜探测到的硬 TeV 极端耀变体新源

摘要

极端高频峰 BL Lac 天体(EHBLs)是表现出极高能同步辐射的耀变体。它们还具有非热伽马射线辐射,其峰值位于甚高能(VHE,E > 100 GeV)范围,在某些源中超过 1TeV:硬 TeV EHBL(如 1ES 0229+200)即属此列。为增加 EHBL 种群数量,2010 至 2017 年间用 MAGIC 望远镜观测了十个目标,共获得 262 小时高质量数据。数据辅以协调的 Swift 观测。X 射线数据分析确认除两个源外其余均为 EHBLs。这些源仅表现出温和变率及“越亮越硬”行为,此类天体典型如此。在 VHE 伽马射线波段,探测到三个新源,并对另一个新源发现信号迹象。每种情况下内禀能谱均与这些 EHBLs 具硬 TeV 特性的假设相容。构建了所有源的宽带能谱分布(SEDs)并在单区纯轻子模型框架下建模。VHE 伽马射线探测源也用 spine-layer 与质子同步辐射模型予以解释。三种模型均良好描述了 SEDs。但三种情景所得参数差异显著,尤其是磁化参数。本工作呈现了 EHBLs 的 VHE 伽马射线与多波段观测的首个小型星表。
