摘要
由超导加速器技术驱动的高重复频率 X 射线自由电子激光(XFEL)的出现,使得每天可测量的实验数据量远超以往。欧洲 XFEL 不久将提供每秒 27,000 个脉冲,比其他任何 XFEL 高出两个数量级以上。脉冲频率的提高是单粒子 X 射线衍射成像的关键赋能因素,该成像依赖于对单个生物粒子的弱衍射信号进行平均。充分利用这一新能力,需要从样品制备与递送直至衍射图样采集的所有实验步骤都与提高后的脉冲重复频率相兼容。在此,我们展示了可利用兆赫兹重复频率的 X 射线脉冲进行单粒子成像。所得结果为在最高重复频率下利用高重复频率 X 射线自由电子激光进行单粒子成像铺平了道路。
