摘要
在五年多的时间里，Bornmann、Stefaner、de Moya Anegon 和 Mutz（2014）以及 Bornmann、Stefaner、de Moya Anegon 和 Mutz（2014, 2015）发布了多个版本的 www.excellencemapping.net 工具，基于引文数据揭示全球（成簇的）卓越机构。随着新版本的发布，一个完全修订的工具已上线。它不仅基于引文数据（文献计量学），还基于 Mendeley 数据（替代计量学）。因此，该工具机构影响测量的覆盖面得以扩展，除研究人员外还聚焦于学生与图书馆员等额外地位群体。此外，数据的可视化已完全更新，改善了用户的可操作性并加入了如机构概况页面等新特性。本文中，我们描述了当前 excellencemapping.net 工具的数据集及所应用的指标。进而解释了该工具的底层统计方法与网络应用的使用。
