摘要
我们描述了一种在彩色图像中估计人体头部姿态的方法，该图像包含足够的信息以定位头部轮廓并检测各个面部特征的非平凡颜色边缘。该方法通过在任意背景上发现人体头部、提取头部轮廓，并定位用于描述三维空间中头部朝向所必需的面部特征来工作。它足够鲁棒，可在可变光照条件下处理具有准正面视图的人头的彩色和灰度图像。
