三流形几何与由边界效应导致的黑洞存在性

摘要
在本文中，我们观察到 hep-th/9910245 中研究的膜泛函可用于推广 Schoen 与笔者 [4] 多年前所做的一些工作。核心思想是：若三维流形 M 的边界具有强正平均曲率，则该平均曲率的效应可影响 M 的内部几何。例如，若 M 的数量曲率大于某个与该边界效应相关的常数，则不存在更高亏格的不可压缩曲面。
