弯曲单片有源像素传感器在束流中性能的首次演示

摘要

设计下一代顶点探测器的一种新方法预见采用晶圆级传感器,在减薄至 20-40μ\mum 厚度后可弯曲成真正的圆柱几何形状。为巩固这一概念,使用 1.5×\times3cm ALPIDE 芯片演示了操作弯曲 MAPS 的可行性。即使其厚度为 50μ\mum,也可成功弯曲至约 2cm 半径而无任何机械或电气损伤迹象。在随后使用 5.4GeV 电子束的表征中,进一步确认它们保持了完整的电气功能以及粒子探测性能。本文详述了弯曲程序及用于表征的装置。此外,讨论了束流测试的分析,包括探测效率随束流位置和局部倾角的测量。结果表明,传感器在弯曲至 2cm 半径后保持了优异性能,在典型工作条件下探测效率高于 99.9%,为具有空前低材料预算和理想几何特性的新型探测器铺平了道路。
