估计干涉图像中空间相关噪声引起的统计不确定性

干涉仪(如ALMA和NOEMA)使我们能够获得天体源在三维(赤经、赤纬、频率)上的细致亮度分布。然而,噪声的空间相关性使得评估所测物理量的统计不确定性以及所得结果的统计显著性变得困难。干涉图像中的噪声相关特性由噪声自相关函数(ACF)完整刻画并易于测量。我们提出了一种方法,用于(1)直接估计空间积分流量和光谱中由相关噪声引起的统计不确定性,(2)模拟相关噪声以在图像分析中执行蒙特卡洛模拟,以及(3)基于所测噪声ACF构建协方差矩阵和卡方 分布,用于在有空间相关噪声的图像上拟合模型。我们展示了对科学数据的示例应用,表明忽略噪声相关性会导致结果统计不确定性的显著低估以及虚假探测/误读。
