本文考虑与图以及（各维）胞腔复形关联的三个独立矩阵。它将它们各自特征多项式的所有系数与三类子对象的几何和组合枚举联系起来。这些矩阵是：Trent的整d-循环网格矩阵、整d-边界网格矩阵，以及基尔霍夫矩阵即整(d-1)-链的组合拉普拉斯矩阵。阐明了与Reidemeister-Franz挠率的关系，以及与R. Lyons和G. Kalai基础性工作的关系。
