摘要
在 1980 年代，Greene 利用 Jacobi 和定义了有限域上的超几何函数。他的理论框架确立了这些函数具有许多与 Gauss 和 Kummer 所研究的经典超几何级数类似的性质。这些函数在 Apéry 型超同余、Eichler-Selberg 迹公式、Galois 表示以及算术簇的 zeta 函数研究中发挥了重要作用。我们研究了这些函数的自然族在大有限域上的值分布。对于 函数，极限分布是半圆的（即 ），而 函数的分布是实正交群 迹的 Batman 分布。
