用于引力波干涉仪的离子束溅射AlF$_3$薄膜表征

摘要

非晶涂层中的热噪声是引力波探测器(GWDs)等广泛精密实验的限制因素。GWDs的镜面由沉积在基底上的多层介电材料组成:该叠层由高折射率层与低折射率层交替构成。目标是获得高反射率和低热噪声。在本文中,我们报道了离子束溅射氟化铝(AlF3_3)薄膜的光学和力学性质,该材料在已知涂层材料中具有最低的折射率之一,并讨论了它们在当前及未来GWDs中的应用。
